We want the public information on this website to be usable by people with different devices, languages and access needs. This statement describes the theme’s approach and how to report a barrier.
Accessibility features
- semantic headings, landmarks and labelled navigation;
- a skip link and visible keyboard focus;
- controls designed for touch and keyboard use;
- responsive layouts that reflow on smaller screens;
- text alternatives expected for meaningful editorial images;
- plain-language explanations in Indian English and page-specific Tamil content;
- reduced-motion support in the visual theme.
Known limitations
Third-party government portals and externally hosted documents are outside our control. An editor may also publish a PDF that is less accessible than an HTML page. Where practical, we provide an explanatory page and clearly identify the external destination.
Report an access barrier
Tell us the page URL, what you were trying to do, the barrier encountered, and the browser or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it. Do not include scheme identifiers or financial information.
Response and improvement
We review actionable reports, prioritise barriers affecting core tasks and record appropriate theme or content changes. A report about an external government service may need to be raised with that service directly.
