Confirm that registration is actually open
A portal may remain online for status checks or grievances even when new registration is closed. Look for a dated government notice that states who may register, the opening and closing dates, and the authorised online or assisted channel. A video, forwarded message or old screenshot is not enough.

- Complete the eligibility check.
- Review the document preparation guide.
- Correct conflicting names or family details through the responsible department.
- Use the current channel named in the government notice.
- Keep the final acknowledgement, date and submission location.

Do not allow an unknown person to choose a password, retain your OTP or keep copies of your documents. If assisted submission is officially permitted, watch what is entered and obtain an official receipt for any permitted service charge. No private person can guarantee selection.
